Broadcast Television Station Reminder: FCC Form 388 DTV Consumer Education Activity Reports Due Oct. 10 - all full-power television stations must electronically file an FCC Form 388 “ DTV Quarterly Activity Station Report ” with the FCC detailing the station's efforts to educate viewers about the digital television (DTV) transition. The FCC Form must be filed using the Consolidated Database System (CDBS). Quarterly Issues & Programs Lists Due In PIF By October 10th- Radio and TV stations, both commercial and noncommercial,, must prepare and place Quarterly Issues Programs Lists n the stations' public inspection file by October 10, 2008, covering July, August and September. Children's TV Reports Due By Oct. 10th- Commercial full power and Class A low power television stations must file Children's Television Programming Reports on FCC Form 398 electronically. Stations airing multiple DTV program streams should also file. Reports and Quarterly Compliance certifications on Commercial limitations must be placed in the public inspection files. Tax Exempt Stations Get New Form 990 for 2008 Tax Year- The Internal Revenue Service released the revised instructions that tax-exempt organizations will need to fill out the redesigned Form 990, which must be filed starting with tax year 2008 (filed in 2009).
